Women Now for Development is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2012, to address the needs of Syrian women in Syria and in neighbouring countries. Across several training centres, Women Now works for the empowerment and protection of women by providing education and capacity training, by supporting female leadership, and by offering psychosocial support. Description of the Job Position:
The financial and administrative coordinator performs her/his duties in collaboration with the accountant of the organisation and with the finance team situated in Libya and Turkey. She/he is responsible for proper financial management of different projects.
List of Main Activities:
- Preparation of annual budgets and financial estimates for various projects
- Budgetary monitoring
- Supervising monthly reports and expenses
- Overseeing invoices
- Preparing intermediary and final deports for donors
- Ensuring compliance to procedures specified by donors
- Ensuring financial closure of projects (answering donors’ questions, ensuring final payments)
- Monitoring the sending of funs on the ground
- Preparing necessary evaluation documents for an external auditor
- Preparing project audits
- Developing financial procedures
- Performing administrative tasks
- Ensuring connection between the accountant and the treasurer
- May have to travel abroad, if need be
Your Profile:
- Experience working in an NGO as a financial coordinator or at a similar post
- Expertise of current desktop softwares (Word and Excel)
- Knowledge of French, English, and Arabic
- Independence
- Rigour
Conditions:
